The Azerbaijani thinker Ahmet Agaoglu (1869-1939) spent the last 30 years of his life, with a few exceptions, in Turkey, which he considered his second homeland. As a politician, scientist, journalist and educator, he left indelible traces on the social-political, cultural-spiritual life of the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey.
